The following is a list of rules for the slaves to read, learn, and HEED.
Everyone is required to read up on the Gorean culture. The books are mostly out of print, but can be found in used book stores and websites. There are also many accurate websites pertaining to the Gorean culture. A few places where you buy the books online are:
Upon entering the Dagger you are required to greet and acknowledge all Free Persons present by name addressing each as Master or Mistress as appropriate. If the gender of the Free Person is not known, or can not be determined from the name or by checking their profile, "Master" is to be used until the gender is clarified. "Tal" used in a greeting is reserved for Free. Slaves will use "greetings Master" or some other term of greeting.
You are not to use the first person pronoun. Gone from your vocabulary are the words: I, me, my and mine; instead you will use terms such as: this slave, this girl or this boy or this one.
You may be disciplined by any free person. If you become disruptive, you may be taken to task and required to make your Owner aware of such events. In the event that your Owner cannot be made aware of such events (i.e, vacation and such), the Moderators may administer fit discipline and will notify your Owner of your infraction.
Only two types of collars are recognized by the Dagger; personal collars and Tavern collars.
You are required to obtain permission prior to messaging free persons. NO exceptions.
You are to be pleasing at all times, there is no room for PMS, or bad moods. If you're not up to being pleasing, do not enter the room. Excellence and perfection in a slave is the goal, and only that will be tolerated.
Think before reacting to any situation. What occurs in the Dagger is between the Free. It concerns no slave.
While you may feel a Free Person is not right, and indeed they may be wrong, they are, by definition, never WRONG. Do not argue with a Free Person, you may find yourself punished harshly. Slaves always have the last word in any disagreement; these words are: "Yes, Master" or "Yes, Mistress".
Offer the patrons food as well as drink. There is a Menu,
consult it often. Correct service is always the priority (see
Serves by the Book which has been graciously provided by Fogaban.)
You shall not engage in any other activities while serving a Master (i.e, messages to others) Appropriate greetings can be done after you have been released from the task at hand.
Macros in serving and dancing are NOT permitted...period!
Fussing and fidgeting are to be non-existent. Quiet beauty, wit and charm are preferred to noisy nonsense. Intelligence and wit are to be rewarded - laxity and laziness are punished.
Slaves possess nothing which has not been given to them by their owner, including their name. What is given can be taken away. If you are fortunate enough to be trusted to carry a name for an owner, silks or jewelry, remember that these can be removed just as easily as they were given.
Visiting other Taverns, Inns or other places on Gor carries the risks of those places. Be cautious.
The "white silk" slave is a virgin, and the owner decides when this will change. White silk slaves may serve food and drinks, converse with free persons from their knees, and talk with the other girls present. You will also follow any other restrictions that your owner chooses to place upon you. The integrity of a white silk slave will be maintained and upheld by all free persons.
The "red silk" slave is a sexually active one. As long as they are not under restrictions by their owner, they can be used by any Master.
No slaves can be forced to accept a collar that the slave does not freely take. ***WARNING*** once collared, removing it is at the discretion of the owner only. In the event that an Owner can no longer be present and the slave wishes the removal of the collar, the slave must ask a Keeper to petition for action. NOTE: an abandoned slave, by definition, is one who has had NO communication with the owner for a period of no less than 4 weeks.
No slave is required to accompany a Free Person into the alcoves with the exception of their owner.
It is a good idea to express concern in open room to Moderators and/or other free persons in the event that a slave feels threatened or harassed by any person.
The merest whim of your owner is your highest law. Obey, or be punished.
