Tal: A common form of greeting between free persons. While there are instances of slaves greeting the free using this word in the books, it is not to be used in the Dagger.

Master: A title by which slaves refer to all free males.

Mistress: The title by which slaves refer to all free women.

afk: An abbreviation for “Away From the Keyboard”. Therefore, with proper grammar, the slaves begs to go afk.

Kajira: A female Gorean slave.

Kajirae: Two or more kajira.

Kajirus: A male Gorean slave.

Kajiri: Two or more kajirus.

Bondmaid: A slave owned by one from the land of Torvaldsland.

Speaking in Third Person: Slaves are required to speak in third person for two reasons. First, it pleases the Free. Secondly, it forces the slave to stop and think, compelling the slave to remember their place.

White silk: A term for a slave who is a virgin. This has nothing to do with what she is wearing.
